ISTANBUL, July 27 (WAM) The Center for the Control of Grain Exports through the Black Sea to world markets opened today in Istanbul, with the participation of delegations from Ukraine, Russia and the United Nations.
Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said during the opening ceremony held at the National Defense University in Istanbul.. Turkey believes that the center will make a great contribution to overcoming the food crisis.
Akar added that five civilian and military representatives from each party work in the center.
It is noteworthy that the center is part of an agreement recently reached in Istanbul, brokered by Turkey and under the supervision of the United Nations, to allow the export of grain through the Black Sea to world markets.
