ROME, 18th February, 2020 (WAM) – The two poles of Milan continued their struggle for second place in the Italian Football League, with Milan defeating Monza 1-0 and Inter Milan beating Udinese 3-1 today, “Saturday”, in the 23rd round of the competition, which also witnessed a victory today. Bologna 2-1 away to Sampdoria.
Inter Milan strengthened its position in second place, raising its score to 47 points, by only 3 points once morest Milan, while Napoli leads the championship table with 62 points.
At the “San Siro” stadium in Milan, the first half ended with Inter tied with Udinese, with a goal scored by Belgian Romelu Lukaku from a penalty kick in the 20th minute, compared to a goal scored by Sandy Lovrich for Udinese in the 43rd minute.
In the second half, Henrikh Mikhtaryan and Lautaro Martinez scored two goals for Inter Milan in the 73rd and 89th minutes, to restore Inter’s victories following a draw with Sampdoria in the last round.
On the other hand, Milan defeated its host Monza with a clean goal scored by Junior Messias in the 31st minute, to be Milan’s second consecutive victory in the competition.
