DUBAI, 19th October / WAM / The Emirates Foundation for Health Services is organizing a series of events aimed at shedding light on breast cancer and highlighting the importance of early detection of its symptoms, in addition to the therapeutic services and health care it provides as part of its pioneering efforts in providing distinguished health services and its endeavors to enhance awareness of the disease.
These events come within the framework of the Foundation’s efforts to combat the disease and establish a culture of self-examination and early examinations, as various hospitals and health care centers under its umbrella participate in organizing awareness events and lectures, in addition to providing monthly breast self-examination services for those aged 20 or a mammogram every two years. For those aged 40 and over.
Dr. Issam Al Zarooni, Executive Director of the Medical Services Sector at the Emirates Foundation for Health Services, confirmed that the Foundation aims, through the events it organizes, to raise awareness among all members and components of the Emirati society and seeks to change misconceptions regarding breast cancer, in addition to establishing health awareness and establishing a culture of self-examinations and examinations. Early detection of the disease due to its role in accelerating patients’ response to treatment in cases where the disease is detected early.
The Foundation organizes a breast cancer awareness exhibition for female employees and auditors of the Public Health Center in Fujairah, which includes an awareness lecture and a review of the importance of early self-examination and advice on healthy dietary patterns.
In the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, the Foundation organizes a health awareness exhibition in cooperation with Abdullah Bin Omran Hospital for Women and Obstetrics and the Public Health Center, and a health exhibition in “Rak Mall” organized by the Public Health Center. In Dubai, the Foundation is implementing an educational program on the importance of early detection of breast cancer for female employees of the Dubai Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, in addition to providing examinations within the “Reassurance” initiative. An educational program will be organized in Umm Al Quwain on the importance of early detection of breast cancer in cooperation with the Umm Al Quwain Center Creative Department of the Ministry of Culture and Youth within the “Take a Step” initiative, in addition to providing examinations through the “Etmanan” initiative.
The Foundation in Sharjah provides an early detection service, whether with a mobile “mammogram” device or clinical examination for female employees and reviewers of the Public Health Center in Khorfakkan in cooperation with the Pink Caravan, in addition to implementing an educational program on the importance of early detection of breast cancer for female employees of the Khorfakkan Health Center and examinations within the “Immanan” initiative. . In addition to organizing awareness lectures at the Public Health Center in Al Ghubaiba… An educational program will be organized in Ajman on the importance of early detection of breast cancer in the Umm Al-Momineen Hall, and examinations will be provided through the “Etmanan” initiative.
