DUBAI, 30th January / WAM / The General Secretariat of the Federation of Emirates Chambers and the directors of the member chambers of commerce held their first meeting for the year 2023, at the Federation of Chambers office in Dubai, headed by Humaid Mohammed bin Salem, Secretary General of the Federation of Emirates Chambers.
The meeting was attended by: Muhammad Hilal Al Muhairi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, Muhammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director of the Sharjah Chamber, Salem Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Ajman Chamber, Ammar Rashid Al Alili, Director General of the Umm Al Quwain Chamber, Muhammad Hassan Al Sabab, Acting Director General of Ras Al Khaimah Chamber, and Sultan Bin Jumaa Al-Hendassi, Director General of the Fujairah Chamber, and Hassan Al-Hashemi, Vice President of International Relations at the Dubai Chambers.
The meeting reviewed the views of the chambers of commerce on strategies and means to align sustainability with the strategic objectives of business and national priorities.
The directors of the chambers of commerce and industry praised the declaration of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” 2023 as the “year of sustainability” in the Emirates, stressing the importance of sustainability as a fundamental basis for comprehensive development, especially since responsible and sustainable practices have become an integral part of modern business strategies and a factor. important in its success and enhancing its reputation in the labor market.
The meeting was also briefed on the work plans of the General Secretariat during the first quarter of this year, especially with regard to joint business councils, trade missions, and programs for trade delegations that will visit the country.
