DUBAI, 23rd January, 2020 (WAM) — Emirates Airlines announced that it will increase service to Melbourne, starting March 27, to three daily flights from its hub in Dubai via Singapore, in addition to a third direct service to Sydney, starting from May 1.
The increase follows the recent announcement by Emirates Airlines of doubling daily service to Brisbane, starting from June 1, in response to the surge in travel demand and the airline’s affirmation of its continued commitment to Australia.
All new flights are operated by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, with a three-class division: First, Business and Economy Class.
And by the middle of the year, Emirates Airlines services to Australia will reach 63 flights per week, which means the ability to transport more than 55 thousand passengers every week to and from its major cities.
Melbourne and Sydney services will also return to pre-pandemic levels, which is a significant achievement in the airline’s efforts to resume its services to Australia.
Adnan Kazim, Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates Airlines, said: The return of our flights to both Sydney and Melbourne to pre-pandemic levels is a significant achievement in efforts to restore our capabilities in Australia and a testament to our long-term commitment to that country.
