Emirates News Agency – Dubai Police completes preparations to secure GITEX Technology Exhibition

DUBAI, 7th October, WAM/ The Dubai Police have completed their preparations to secure the 2022 GITEX International Technology Fair.

Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs at Dubai Police, and Chairman of the International Events Insurance Committee, confirmed that Dubai Police, in cooperation with government and private agencies participating in the GITEX International Technology Fair 2022, has completed all its preparations for the success of the events of the largest technology exhibition in the world. Which will be held at the Dubai World Trade Center from 10 to 14 October 2022.
Major General Al Ghaithi indicated that the team will make great efforts to make this exhibition appear in a picture that befits the position of the Emirate of Dubai in organizing and hosting the most prestigious international events, and its leading role in holding events, conferences and exhibitions at the level of the region, calling on drivers to abide by the regulations, instructions, instructions and rules of traffic and traffic. To be careful and to reduce speeds, and to use alternative roads, to avoid congestion and smooth crossings during the GITEX exhibition.
Major General Al Ghaithi noted that visitors to the exhibition can access it by using the available means of transportation to avoid traffic congestion, pointing out that their use reduces traffic accidents, and is an ideal solution to achieve traffic safety in the emirate, pointing out that several parking lots have been allocated to park their vehicles and use The metro has been allocated to reach the World Trade Center station, where the “Centerpoint” station, the Meydan parking, the Al Wasl Club parking, the Etisalat station parking, the Jebel Ali station parking, as well as the multi-storey parking building near the Max station in the “Kifaf area” in Al Jafiliya. To the Dubai Mall parking lot in Zabeel Extension, where buses belonging to the Roads and Transport Authority have been allocated to facilitate transporting visitors to and from the exhibition to reach it.
Visitors can also access the exhibition with their vehicles and use the World Trade Center parking, by following the traffic bulletins on social networking sites to know the road condition and activating the notification service and the driving feature service in the Dubai Police application.
Major General Al Ghaithi called on the public to use alternative roads to reach the Financial Center area, such as Al Mostaqbal Street for those coming from Al Maidan Street, and Al Sukuk Street for those coming from Sheikh Zayed Road.
