Emirates News Agency – “Dubai Future Experts Program” receives more than 800 applications from 37 government agencies to participate in its third batch

DUBAI, 2nd August / WAM/ The Dubai Future Foundation has received more than 800 applications from employees of 37 government entities in the Emirate of Dubai, to participate in the third batch of the Dubai Future Experts Program, which was announced by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council and Chairman of the Executive Council. Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation, launched last June.

Applicants to participate in the program, including senior and middle management employees and specialists in the fields of strategic design and future foresight in the government sector in Dubai, work in more than 20 diverse vital fields, including the sector of government services, logistics, economy, technology, health, education, tourism, aviation and others. The percentage of females who applied for the program reached 57% of the total number of applicants whose age ranges regarding 95% of them between 25 and 45 years old.

A specialized committee from the Dubai Future Foundation and the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai will evaluate participation requests and select up to 30 associates who will have the opportunity to learn future skills and tools during two levels, each spanning six months, to be graded from the rank of “future analyst” to “future executive”. The third batch of the Dubai Future Experts Program is scheduled to start next September.

Saeed Al Gergawi, Director of the Dubai Future Academy, which oversees the organization of the “Dubai Future Experts Program”, stressed that the program aims to provide capable national competencies in the field of foreseeing and designing the future in all government agencies and in all future sectors to implement the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to improve the performance of the government sector in Dubai and enhance its readiness for the future, thus contributing to consolidating Dubai’s global leadership in developing future plans and strategies and adopting the latest successful government practices.

He added that these young national experiences will contribute to enhancing the efficiency of government work and innovating new non-traditional work mechanisms that will accelerate the implementation of future plans and support sustainable development efforts in the country. Future design experts in government agencies will also work on drawing future scenarios capable of predicting the upcoming changes and preparing for them effectively.

It is worth noting that the Dubai Future Experts Program, launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, contributes to developing the skills of the affiliates in the areas of strategic thinking, social intelligence, project management, foresight and design of the future, the scientific, cultural and technological sectors, decision-making, the development of policies, laws and legislation, and the use of various tools to identify opportunities Available to create new economic sectors in the UAE.
