This came during a meeting of HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of the authority, with Christian Klein, CEO and member of the Executive Board of SAP SE, in the presence of a number of the authority’s managers and engineers.

Al Tayer stressed the importance of exchanging best practices and global experiences between the two sides in the areas of innovation, digital transformation, the Internet of Things, big data analysis, cloud computing and others.

He praised the strategic partnership between DEWA and SAP, which started in 2009, which witnessed the implementation of the (SAP Wave 1) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to measure, integrate and automate all DEWA operations to provide the highest level of service to its customers, employees and partners… The relationship between the two organizations later evolved to include the Data Center for Integrated Solutions (Moro).. Since 2018, Moro has become the authorized provider of the SAP-Hana platform for enterprise cloud computing services.. And this year, Moro has been certified. , by “SAP” as a partner of the RISE program as the first local provider to be approved in the UAE to provide “SAP” cloud and secure services.

He noted that SAP has provided its support for Moro’s green data center, the largest solar-powered center in the Middle East and Africa, and is designed to obtain a Tier-III certificate from the Uptime Institute, at the Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz Complex. Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Energy in Dubai.
Last February, the authority announced a partnership between the Data Center for Integrated Solutions (Moro), a subsidiary of the “Digital DEWA Group”, the digital arm of the authority, and SAP, which allows government and private agencies to launch smart automation across their mission-critical operations. Which will be hosted in the latest (Moro) data centers, in line with the requirements of data storage and cybersecurity services in the UAE.
It is noteworthy that Moro (Data Center for Integrated Solutions) is a world-class data center that provides innovative digital solutions and services to support digital customers’ agendas, including cloud hosting services, smart city services, Internet of things, cybersecurity and digital solutions complemented by managed and professional services by Moro. The first local provider of cloud services approved by the Dubai Electronic Security Center to ensure the highest levels of security and compliance standards, thus accelerating the digital transformation journey for customers.
