DUBAI, 11th September / WAM / Emirates Transport and the Saudi Public Transport Company “SAPTCO” discussed ways to consolidate the strategic relationship between the two sides and opportunities for joint cooperation in future projects and exchange of experiences.
The meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the General Administration of Emirates Transport in Dubai, was attended by His Excellency Eng. Khalid bin Saleh Al-Mudaifer, Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining Affairs – Saudi Arabia, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SAPTCO, His Excellency Eng. Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, Managing Director – CEO of the company and members of the Board of Directors, and His Excellency Khaled Al-Mansour, Managing Director Member of the Board of Directors of Emirates Transport and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of CITCO; In his capacity as a representative of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Emirates Transport, Faryal Tawakkul, the Acting CEO, a number of Board members and members of the company’s senior management team.
During the meeting, introductory presentations were made regarding Emirates Transport, the Saudi Public Transport Company “SAPTCO” and the Saudi Emirati Integrated Transport Company “SITCO”, and they discussed possible ways of cooperation and prospects for opportunities and joint projects, in addition to agreeing on joint future projects, especially cooperation in order to increase the market share of both The two companies.
The two sides discussed entering new markets in the public and private sectors, transferring more Emirates Transport expertise to SITCO, unifying efforts between the two teams to obtain better offers from school bus suppliers, studying the possibility of involving suppliers in operating buses instead of purchasing them, and communicating with regulatory authorities in order to involve them in the business. This facilitates the work of CITCO, in addition to the cooperation between the two companies in order to develop and expand maintenance services to be provided to others and work to raise safety levels similar to Emirates Transport standards and work to adopt the latest transportation technology.
Khaled Al-Mansour, Managing Director and Board Member of Emirates Transport and Vice Chairman of CITCO, stressed the importance of the meeting in strengthening and expanding the distinguished strategic partnership between the two parties.
For his part, His Excellency Eng. Khalid bin Saleh Al-Mudaifer praised the meeting’s review of ways to develop quality services for educational transport in the region, benefiting from the experiences of both parties in this field, and in the constructive partnership with Emirates Transport through the Saudi-Emirati Integrated Transport Company “SITCO” to provide transport services with specifications dedicated to educational transport. .
