ISLAMABAD, August 29/WAM/ The death toll from floods caused by monsoon rains that began in early June in Pakistan has risen to 1,061, according to a new toll issued today by the National Disaster Management Authority in Pakistan.
The authority said that 28 people have died during the last 24 hours, while the authorities are still trying to reach isolated towns located in mountainous areas in the north of the country.
