Emirates News Agency – Auctions for camels and horses at the end of “Abu Dhabi Hunting and Equestrian”

Abu Dhabi, October 2, WAM/ The Advanced Scientific Group organized a camel auction at the 19th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, in the presence of a large number of camel breeders and lovers. In one of the exhibition sessions, the group would continue to organize the auction in each session for regarding 15 to 17 camels.

Rashid Abdullah Al-Nuaimi, Assistant CEO of the Advanced Scientific Group, supervising the camel auction at the International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, explained that 14 camels owned by the group were auctioned, with the highest price reaching AED250,000, followed by AED180,000, noting that all the camels in the auction are owned by the Advanced Scientific Group. All the breeds that are being auctioned have official papers with the group, in which the father and mother are recorded. Each camel is issued a card with its slide number, description and photo, and following signing the purchase contract, the one who has been awarded the purchase receives the camels from the headquarters of the Advanced Scientific Group in Sweihan.

He stressed that the prices of camels auction at the International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition are accessible to everyone and encouraged to bid, compared to the prices of camels at the beginning of the auction at the fair in 2005, which was very high, as it started from hundreds of thousands and above until it reached 6 million dirhams, but today there is saturation Owners who are keen on producing stallions have the laboratory of the advanced scientific group, which of course has brought regarding an evolution in the genes and specifications of camels and has contributed significantly to increasing the production of racing camels, pointing out that almost two years ago and until today, prices start from 30 thousand to 250 to 300 thousand dirhams.

Al Nuaimi added that the vast majority of owners prefer breeding and acquiring the advanced scientific group’s camel breed because it has proven its presence in local and foreign races, as the advanced scientific group produces 1% of the annual production of camel births in the UAE and 5% of racing camels, and its camels occupy first and prestigious positions in all Races in the Gulf countries, where no race in the Gulf is free of camels produced by the advanced scientific group.

He added that the Advanced Scientific Group holds many auctions in various forums in the country throughout the year, but the camel auction at the International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition is considered the first auction of the group every year, so it witnesses an auction of a distinguished quality of camels because its organization comes at the beginning of the racing season and everyone is interested in buying New camels and breeds before others to participate in the races.

For its part, the Emirates Arabian Horse Association organized an auction for Arabian horses in cooperation with the Emirates Racing Authority, which attracted great attendance and interest from horse breeders, those interested in them and lovers of all categories and segments of the exhibition.

The auction was held on 16 racing horses registered with the Emirates Arabian Horse Association and owned by five owners registered in the association. The prices ranged from 20 to 60 thousand dirhams. At the end of the auction, a drawing was made between buyers of auction horses on free horses gifted by Mr. Khaled Khalifa Juma Al Naboodah Al Suwaidi. After the auction is completed, the horses will return with their owners to their stables, to be handed over to the buyers from the stables shortly, with their official papers obtained from the Emirates Arabian Horse Association.

The horses participating in the auction of the current session of the International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition were attracted by sending the Emirates Arabian Horse Association official messages to its registered members from owners of speed races to invite those who wish to register to participate in the auction, where more than 30 members registered and the best 16 horses were selected to participate in the auction.

The auctioneers explained that the Emirates Arabian Horse Association had planned to conduct a free raffle draw on 16 Shabwa (sperm) within its pavilion on the last day of the exhibition, whereby Emirati horse owners registered in the association might enter the draw on the condition that they have racing horses that can be vaccinated with the sperm, as it is forbidden to Selling Shabwa (the sperm) or profiting from it.

It is worth mentioning that the auction of racing horses, which was held at the International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, is one of the auctions organized by the Emirates Arabian Horse Association in the country, in addition to many other auctions in every Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, Boudheeb Stables, Ajman Studs and others, where the number of horses participating in these auctions varies. .
