Emirates News Agency – Al Bowardi and Al Rumaithi discuss defense and military cooperation with the Sudanese Chief of Staff

ABU DHABI, 22nd August / WAM / His Excellency Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bawardi, Minister of State for Defense Affairs, received in his office today His Excellency Lieutenant-General Mohammed Othman Al Hussein, Chief of Staff of the Sudanese Armed Forces, and the accompanying delegation, which is currently on an official visit to the country, in the presence of His Excellency Lieutenant-General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, HE Matar Salem Ali Al Dhaheri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense, and a number of senior officers and officials of the Ministry.

His Excellency welcomed the Chief of Staff of the Sudanese Armed Forces and the accompanying delegation, expressing his happiness with the development of the path of brotherly relations that unite the two countries, in light of the interest and keenness of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, “may God protect him” to support these relations. and developing them in a way that serves the common interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples.

His Excellency said: “The relations of the United Arab Emirates with Sudan represent a model for effective cooperation in various fields, in light of the convergence of visions and positions towards issues of the region and the world, and the wise leadership has affirmed on more than one occasion that the United Arab Emirates stands by Sudan in everything that achieves the aspirations of its people. The brother in development and peace, and what meets his aspirations for development and prosperity.

During the meeting, they discussed the existing cooperation between the UAE and Sudan in various aspects, especially in the military and defense field, and ways to develop it to broader and more welcoming horizons.

The two sides affirmed the two countries’ continuous endeavors to enhance and develop cooperation relations between them in all aspects, especially with regard to military coordination and defense cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

His Excellency Lieutenant-General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, also received His Excellency Lieutenant General Muhammad Othman Al Hussein, Chief of Staff of the Sudanese Armed Forces.

The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces welcomed the Chief of Staff of the Sudanese Armed Forces, and they reviewed the existing brotherly cooperation relations between the UAE and the sisterly Republic of Sudan and ways to enhance them, and the development they are witnessing at various levels, especially with regard to military coordination and defense cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

The meeting came within the framework of continuous consultation and coordination between the brothers, which supports communication between the two countries and establishes advanced relations in the fields of military cooperation.
