Emirates News Agency – Ahmed bin Saeed: Air traffic in Dubai returns to its previous era, with a rate ranging from 75 to 80%

DUBAI, 10th May / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Aviation Authority and Supreme Chairman of the Emirates Group, confirmed that air traffic in Dubai has begun to return to its previous era by 75 to 80% following the “Corona” pandemic, due to the role of rational leadership during the period of time. The closure and the wise measures that it has taken have contributed positively to accelerating Dubai’s recovery from this pandemic.

His Highness said – during a meeting with media professionals on the sidelines of the Arab Market Exhibition 2022 held in Dubai – that the visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God preserve him”, to the exhibition and the Emirates pavilion encourages and supports this vital sector, which He has great credit for Dubai’s access to the ranks of developed countries in the tourism sector and facilitating travel procedures.. His Highness indicated that the presence of countries from different parts of the world in this exhibition comes to discuss easing restrictions and establishing safe travel partnerships to various destinations around the world.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum explained that Emirates Airlines has achieved, since last April until today, an excellent indicator of travel movement despite the global rise in fuel prices, which is a positive indication of the increased demand for travel next summer.

His Highness noted that the process of modernizing the Emirates fleet is continuing to ensure its readiness and operation to keep pace with the requirements of services in the coming period, and by the year 2025, new aircraft will join and there will be no shortage in the coming period. His Highness indicated that flights from Dubai to Doha will return on board “Fly”. Dubai” to increase its number next November, with the State of Qatar hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
