ABU DHABI, 2nd November / WAM / Dr. Ahmed Al-Haddad, member of the Muslim Council of Elders, Director of the Ifta Department of the Department of Islamic Affairs in Dubai, and member of the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwas, confirmed that the Council of Muslim Elders, since its establishment under the auspices of the UAE and headed by the Grand Imam, Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif has been persistently striving to establish the concepts of peaceful coexistence between different groups and spectrums of people.
Dr. Al-Haddad said, in a statement on the occasion of the Bahrain International Forum, that Islamic Sharia established the principle of the one human family, pointing out that the Council of Muslim Elders senses these great Islamic meanings, and it has taken upon itself to spread it among all people, so it prepared the document of human brotherhood, that great document that It was agreed upon by the monotheistic religions, and it was signed by the leaders of the two great religions in the world, represented by the Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, the head of the Muslim Council of Elders, and Pope Francis, the Pope of the Catholic Church. It represented the depth of the divine directives of human beings; So that they may enjoy happiness in their world.
A member of the Muslim Council of Elders pointed out that the Council held many conferences, seminars and meetings to promote the values of peaceful coexistence among humans, explaining that the Bahrain International Forum, attended by the leaders of the Islamic and Christian religions and a number of leaders of other religions, seeks to continue achieving this goal and consolidating the principle of human coexistence.
The Kingdom of Bahrain is preparing to hold the Bahrain Forum for Dialogue “East and West for Human Coexistence” on Thursday and Friday, November 3 and 4, under the patronage of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and with the participation of His Eminence the Grand Imam, Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif. Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, His Holiness Pope Francis, Pope of the Catholic Church, and regarding 200 figures of symbols, leaders and representatives of religions around the world, in addition to prominent intellectual and media figures.
The forum is held jointly by the Council of Muslim Elders, the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the King Hamad Center for Peaceful Coexistence.
