ABU DHABI, 22 February / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Police participated in the celebration of the International Mother Language Day, which falls on February 21 of each year, in order to achieve the methodology of communication with strategic partners.

Brigadier Mubarak Saif Al Sabousi, Director of the Police Department of the External Regions, stressed the importance of celebrating this occasion, pointing to the contributions of the United Arab Emirates to preserving the Arabic language, which culminated in the initiative to allocate an award in the name of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan – may God rest his soul – to the communities. that preserves its linguistic heritage from disappearance or marginalization.

On the other hand, Major Saeed Khamis Al Junaibi, Director of the Social Relations and Guidance Branch in the Public Relations Department of the External Area Police Directorate in the Criminal Security Sector, and a number of female employees visited the Al Wathba Library at the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi.

The Abu Dhabi Police delegation participated in the revival of the event and was briefed on many publications of books in the languages ​​of their authors, especially translated books as well as many archaeological manuscripts. its mother tongue through the establishment of many institutions, bodies and associations, to be strong arms for it in achieving cultural gains towards dedicating the identity and personality of the Arabic language, including the establishment of the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, which aims to advance the Arabic language, and consolidate and enhance its presence and finding solutions to the challenges it faces.

The visit included an introduction to the agenda of the Department of Culture and Tourism of services and programs in the service of the mother tongue during the current year.
