Emirates News Agency – Abu Dhabi Police gets first place in implementing business continuity at the level of the emirate’s government

ABU DHABI, October 7, WAM / The Center for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi honored the Abu Dhabi Police General Command for obtaining the first place in the application of business continuity “NCEMA7000” at the level of the Abu Dhabi government, during the Business Continuity Forum.

The ceremony was attended by Major General Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police and Head of the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team, in the presence of members of the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team, and a number of Their Excellencies.

The certificate of honoring the Abu Dhabi Police in first place was handed over by Obaid Rashid Al-Hussan Al Shamsi, Vice-President of the National Emergency and Crisis Management Authority, to Major General Khalifa Mohammed Al Khaili, Director of the Finance and Services Sector.

His Excellency the Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police and Head of the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team stressed the center’s interest in promoting a culture of business continuity and looking forward to working with strategic partners in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi so that all local authorities obtain certificates of compliance with the national standard during the next year.

He pointed to the opportunities for exchanging experiences with the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, in a way that enhances the pace of fruitful work and constructive cooperation, which will eventually lead to achieving the Abu Dhabi government’s vision of making Abu Dhabi the leading model in emergency, crisis and disaster management.

Abu Dhabi Police held regular training workshops with the aim of raising the level of knowledge of its members in crisis and disaster management with the foundations that ensure business continuity and readiness to respond in various circumstances in accordance with the requirements of the national standard for business continuity.
