Emirates News Agency – Abu Dhabi Airports and Etihad Cargo host the World Cargo Summit 2023

ABU DHABI, January 30, WAM/ The World Cargo Summit 2023, hosted by Abu Dhabi Airports and Etihad Cargo, kicked off today, and will continue until February 1, 2023, with the attendance of more than 350 visitors from 35 countries.
This year’s summit bears the slogan “Embracing Opportunities and Challenges”, and welcomes delegations of visitors from airlines, airports, air freight agents, project developers, aviation service providers and industry experts, through a unique platform that allows them to exchange knowledge and ideas, explore opportunities available in the air cargo sector, discuss its challenges and propose effective solutions.
This year’s session will be held in person, following two successful sessions were held virtually in 2021 and 2022, and will witness the presence of a group of international speakers to share their experiences and extensive knowledge, as well as review the latest developments in the sector, visions and directions that will enable companies to adapt their business models to thrive in the coming years, in addition to unveiling Changes during the coming period and determine if they will be permanent or continuous.

Hosting “Abu Dhabi Airports” in cooperation with “Etihad Cargo” for this year’s edition as an official sponsor reflects its commitment to developing and advancing the air cargo sector, as it recently announced the completion of a number of pioneering projects, including the upgrade and rehabilitation of the cargo village and building in cooperation with “Etihad Cargo” and Etihad Airport Services, where these facilities have been upgraded and relaunched with advanced infrastructure, the most prominent of which includes the new refrigerated storage facilities of up to 3,000 square meters at Abu Dhabi International Airport, which contributed to doubling the cold chain capacity to handle heat-sensitive air cargo such as medicines and pharmaceuticals , health and medical products, as well as life sciences products and support logistics freight requirements.
