Emirates News Agency – Abdullah bin Zayed receives the Saudi Foreign Minister in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, 11th December, 2020 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, which was held in Abu Dhabi, they discussed the well-established fraternal and historical relations between the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, paths of joint cooperation and ways to enhance it in all fields in light of the distinguished strategic partnership between the two countries.
They also discussed a number of issues of concern to the two countries and files related to joint Arab and Gulf cooperation.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the visit of His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, stressing the depth and specificity of the brotherly relations between the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the leaderships and peoples of the two brotherly countries.
His Highness added that the UAE and Saudi Arabia are linked to a strong and sustainable strategic partnership that is constantly being strengthened in order to achieve their common interests, benefit their peoples, and support security and stability in the region and the world.
His Highness congratulated His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah on the success of the 43rd session of the GCC leaders’ summit, which contributes to strengthening the process of joint Gulf action, as well as the “Riyadh-Gulf-Chinese Summit for Cooperation and Development” and the “Arab-Chinese Summit”, praising With their results and their role in consolidating fruitful relations between the friendly People’s Republic of China and the countries of the region and promoting sustainable economic development paths, which will reflect positively on the region and enhance its security, stability and prosperity.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Khalifa Shaheen, Minister of State.
