New York, September 26 / WAM / H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met in New York with Liberita Mulamula, Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation of the United Republic of Tanzania.
During the meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, a number of issues on the assembly’s agenda, including climate change and efforts to promote the use of renewable energy in African countries, as well as international cooperation in facing food security challenges, were discussed.
His Highness and HE Liberita Mulamula also discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and the prospects for joint cooperation and partnership in several fields, including trade, economic, renewable energy and others.
The two sides reviewed issues of common interest in addition to developments on the regional and international arenas and exchanged views on them.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the distinguished bilateral relations between the UAE and Tanzania, pointing out that there are promising opportunities to enhance joint cooperation in several areas to achieve the common interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
For her part, Her Excellency Liberta Mulamula expressed her country’s aspiration to strengthen bilateral cooperation relations with the UAE in all fields, praising the leading position that the UAE enjoys at the regional and global levels and the outstanding development achievements it has achieved.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State.
