TEL AVIV, September 16 / WAM / H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with Benjamin Netanyahu, former Israeli Prime Minister and opposition leader, within the framework of his official visit to the State of Israel.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the UAE and the State of Israel and the continuous growth in the levels of joint cooperation between the two countries in light of the Abrahamic Peace Agreement signed in 2020.
The two sides also discussed the situation in the Middle East and efforts to achieve peace and stability, and reviewed the latest developments on the regional and international arenas and exchanged views on them.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries and the continuous growth and development witnessed by the levels of cooperation and partnership at all levels.
His Highness praised the outstanding efforts of His Excellency Benjamin Netanyahu, which contributed to the signing of the Abrahamic Peace Agreement between the UAE and the State of Israel in 2020, noting that the two countries presented, over the course of two years, a distinguished model for constructive and fruitful cooperation at all levels.
For his part, His Excellency Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed the visit of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which coincides with the celebration of the two-year anniversary of the signing of the Abrahamic Peace Agreement between the UAE and the State of Israel.
His Excellency stressed that the UAE-Israel bilateral cooperation has witnessed a remarkable development over the past two years in several fields, supporting the efforts of the two countries to achieve development and prosperity for their peoples.
