Emirates News Agency – 41 horses qualify for the main races tomorrow in the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship

DUBAI, 18th March, 2020 (WAM) — 41 horses qualified for the six main rounds of the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship finals, with the conclusion of the second day of the tournament, which was held today at the Zabeel Hall in the Dubai Trade Center.
The championship is held under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him,” and 151 horses in 14 categories participate in it, competing for prize money amounting to 4 million dollars.
Today, 9 qualifying rounds were held for 8 different categories, including the one-year-old colts categories “A” and “B”.

The third and final day of the tournament tomorrow is devoted to holding the main races through 6 tournaments, which are the one-year-old foals championship, the foals championship, the mares championship, the one-year-old foals championship, the colts championship, and the stallions championship.
The filly “Qamra Al-Hawajar” by Dr. Ghanem Al-Hajri topped the first place in the fillies race at the age of less than a year, which was the race that was postponed from the first day to the second, with a total of 164 points, and “SQ Dana” came second for the Falcon Stud for Arabian horses with a score of 134 points, and thirdly, “ Rabab Al-Badayer, “The King of Sheikh Muhammad bin Saud Al-Qasimi, with a score of 68 points, fourthly, Mayassa Al-Fuhaid,” from the Emirates, by Mubarak Saeed Al-Hajri, with a score of 46 points, and fifthly, “Asayel Al-Badayer, by Sheikh Muhammad bin Saud Al-Qasimi, with a score of 40 points.
In the colt race at the age of less than a year, the dowry “AD Yas” from the UAE to the Al-Jarnas Stud for Arabian horses came in first place with a score of 234 points, while the colt “Rabdan Al-Hawajer” by Dr. Al Fuhaid” from the UAE, King Abdullah Saeed Al-Hajri, with 80 points.
In the one-year-old colt race “A”, the dowry “De Fahr” of the Dubai Stud for Arabian Horses ranked first, with a score of 91.80 points, followed by the colt “Sharar Al Yah” of the Al Yah Stud for Arabian horses, with a score of 91.20 points, and then came the colt “ Taj Al-Hamoud, from Jordan, to Al-Hamoud Stud, ranked third with a score of 90.50 points.
In the one-year-old colt “B” race, the colt “AJ Sayer” for the Ajman stud came in first place with a score of 92.80 points, followed by the colt “Baher Al Shaqab” for the Qatari Al Shaqab stud, with a score of 91.40 points, and in the third place came the colt. “SM Impressive” by Sheikh Saeed bin Juma Al Maktoum, with a score of 91.10 points.
In the race for two-year-old colts, the colt “Falah Al-Hawajir” by Dr. Ghanem Al-Hajri topped the standings with a total of 91.50 points, and the colt “IS Wadi” by Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al-Qasimi came in second place with a score of 91.50 points, and the colt “Dani Al-Zubair” owned by Jamila Al-Rasheed came third. with a score of 91.10 points.
In the 3-year-old foals run, Dubai Stud for Arabian Horses dominated the first positions, as “De Shahar” came in first place with a score of 91.90 points, and “De Condition” came second with a score of 91.30 points, then “De Russell” came in third place with a score of 90.80 points.
In the stallion race at the age of 4 to 6 years, the stallion Sinmar Al-Badayer, by Sheikh Muhammad bin Saud Al-Qasimi, topped the standings of this race with a score of 92.20 points, followed by the stallion “AJ Ajban” by Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al-Qasimi with a score of 92.10 points, and came in second place. In third place was “Dr Shaddad” by Sayed Obaid Al-Rashdi, with a score of 91.30 points.
In the stallion race, at the age of 7 to 9 years, the stallion “D Siraj” of the Dubai Arabian Horse Stud ranked first with a score of 93.70 points, and “AJ Kafu” for the Ajman Stud came in second place with a score of 92.80 points, and the “IS Prince” solution for the sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al Qasimi, in third place with 92 points.
In the race for stallions aged 10 years and over, the last round of the second day, the stallion “A.S. Sarab” of Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al Qasimi qualified for the first place with a score of 91.70 points, and the stallion Gala of Shanghai for Bakhit Saeed Al Ketbi qualified for the second place with a score of 90.20 points.

For his part, Ziyad Galadari, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship, confirmed that the current version of the championship is the strongest and most difficult in its history since its first launch in 1993.
He said, “The Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship has become a global event with all its meaning, whether in terms of the financial prizes, which are the highest among the tournaments specialized in this type of competition globally, or in terms of the categories and strength of the participating horses.”
He added, “I believe that this distinction is due to the standards and conditions set by the Organizing Committee for the participating horses, which include the need to achieve results and titles in many well-known tournaments in some countries, whether in France or Germany and other countries, in addition to the Abu Dhabi and Sharjah International Championships, to ensure that they are booked.” place in the Dubai International Championship.
He pointed out that Dubai has become an important center for the sport of the Arabian horse and the beauty of horses, especially with regard to exporting this type of horses to those interested in them in all parts of the world, or through the organization of this championship, and the accompanying events such as the Dubai International Horse Show, as well as the Dubai Equestrian Conference.
