BRASILIA, 29 September / WAM / At least three people were killed and 14 others injured when a bridge collapsed yesterday in the northwestern Brazilian state of Amazonas, according to the Brazilian authorities.
The Amazonas government said that the bridge near the city of Carrero, regarding 100 km from the state capital Manaus, collapsed yesterday morning, killing two men and a woman.
Orilson Muniz, the state’s fire brigade commander, expected the death toll to rise, pointing out that the search for victims is still continuing.
