Washington, January 26 / WAM / The US Department of Labor announced that the US economy will grow by 2.1% in 2022, compared to 5.9% in 2021.
The Labor Statistics Office of the Ministry stated in a report issued today that the increase in gross domestic product in 2022 was represented by an increase in consumer spending and exports.
Investment in private stocks and non-residential fixed investments, which was offset by a decline in residential fixed investments and government spending.
The bureau indicated that the real gross domestic product rose at an annual rate of 2.9 percent in the fourth quarter of last year, which was preceded by a rise in the third quarter of 3.2 percent.
