Al Ain, October 30 / WAM / His Excellency Engineer Mohammed Saeed Al Shehhi, Member of the Board of Directors and Director General of the Emirates Horse Racing Authority, thanked His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Emirates Horse Racing Authority, for his constant and continuous support for the sport of horse racing.
He also praised the support of Sheikh Rashid bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, Vice President of the Emirates Horse Racing Authority, President of the Dubai Horse Racing Club and the Dubai Equestrian Club, for racing.
Al Shehhi announced their aspiration for the new season to achieve the best standards of success in all the races scheduled at the various tracks, with great and positive cooperation between the tracks in terms of awards and audience nominations.
Al Shehhi explained the restructuring of the horse racing carnival at the Meydan Racecourse, adding new races, with the presence of participants from outside the country, in addition to reclassifying the races to be larger, such as the races in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi, and holding the His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cup race, and the Emirates Racing Series. Speed in Meydan, Sharjah and Jebel Ali.
He added: We always look forward to the new seasons, and the carnival races at the “Meydan” track with the new “format”, in addition to a new experience at the Abu Dhabi track, and a new experience for the track pioneers, and we also look forward to the Sharjah track, whose “distinctive flavor” we are always accustomed to, and also the track. Jebel Ali, to achieve success in the current season better than previous seasons.”
Al Shehhi pointed out their keenness to support the sport and facilitate the work and procedures of the “horse people” through their presence in the field, in implementation of the leadership’s directives, expressing his happiness at attending the start of the racing season at the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club, with the presence of large crowds in the first race of this season.
