Emirates has ordered more planes. In the next seven years, Emirates is on a development path that anticipates the demand of air travelers. There are also plans to increase the number of services with the arrival of new planes. The orders are for Airbus A350, Boeing 777X or 787 jets.
Emirates Airline President Tim Clark said that the action is part of the future development plans. He clarified this while talking to journalists following the global airline meeting held in Istanbul. Meanwhile, the company has not disclosed the number of aircraft to be purchased. The Boeing 777X is a twin-engine aircraft with 400 seats. The order for the new aircraft had been placed earlier, but the start of service was delayed due to certification and some issues in engine development. The first aircraft under the contract will arrive in Dubai by the first quarter of 2025
