I got Emirates Group With a net loss of 3.8 billion dirhams during the fiscal year ending in March 2022, compared to losses of 22.1 billion dirhams during the previous fiscal year.
As for Emirates Airlines, it suffered a net loss of 3.9 billion dirhams, compared to losses of 20.3 billion dirhams.
Revenues grew by 91% to exceed 59.2 billion dirhams as the company expanded its global production capacity and increased passenger flights.
The airline indicated that the seat occupancy rate on flights reached 58.6%, up from 44.3 percent a year ago, while the number of destinations increased from 120 at the beginning of the fiscal year to more than 140 on March 31.
For its part, dnata achieved a net profit of 110 million dirhams during the fiscal year, compared to losses of 1.8 billion dirhams in the last fiscal year.
The group’s chairman and CEO, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, said in a statement that the business recovery accelerated particularly in the second half of the year.
He added, “This year, we focused on restoring our operations quickly and safely wherever the pandemic restrictions were eased in our markets,” while noting that the group is closely monitoring the impact of higher fuel prices and inflation.
