Emirates Airlines announced the establishment of a new advanced pilot training center, at a cost of $135 million (regarding 495.7 million dirhams).
And it stated in a statement that the center, which is scheduled to open in March 2024, with an area of 63,328 square feet, will accommodate six simulators with full functions for the Airbus A350 and Boeing 777X that the airline will receive in the coming years.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Supreme Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airlines and the group, said: “An investment of $135 million to establish a new pilot training center will ensure (Emirates Airlines) is fully prepared to start training its pilots before receiving the new aircraft, starting from 2024».
His Highness added, “We will provide the building with the latest technologically advanced simulation flight devices, to provide the best training for pilots, while using solar energy to reduce energy consumption.”
Total evolution
The new building will be located next to the existing Emirates Airlines training facilities in Dubai, providing full and close integration with all other pilot training centers.
Trainee pilots will also benefit from the ability to set up and configure the cockpit environment using dedicated hardware, as part of the training module and upload data to the fully functional simulator, prior to starting their respective training session.
This innovative and first-of-its-kind concept was designed to shorten the trainee’s preparatory time inside the device, help him maintain focus, and make full use of the training period.

With the addition of the new building to the existing training facilities of “Emirates Airlines” in Dubai, the airline will expand its capacity to train pilots by 54% annually. Emirates pilots will have greater flexibility to hone their flying skills, through 17 fully functional simulated flying devices that provide a capacity of more than 130,000 hours of training annually in all facilities.
The new Emirates Airline center will start training the first batch of pilots who will fly the Airbus A350 by June 2024, in preparation for the start of receiving this type of aircraft later.
