That wasn’t the case with model Emily Ratajkowski: After their separation two years ago, she makes no secret of the fact that her ex-husband Sebastian Bear-McClard is said to have cheated on her several times. The model takes off the ring – at least for now. She now shows it in a new form on Instagram and conveys a strong message.
Make two out of one
The double stones of the so-called Toi et Moi ring (in German: I and You ring) from the jewelry label Alison Lou were intended to symbolize the connection between two people. Of course, following a dramatic breakup like the model’s, it hurts especially. Simply selling the piece of jewelry is obviously out of the question for Ratajkowski.

She turns to the ring designers once more, has the two three-carat diamonds taken apart and the square stone expanded with two additional diamonds. The result: two huge, sparkling rings that now stand alone and are entirely hers – plus a lot of bare skin and a lot of self-confidence. “Divorce rings,” she writes on Instagram regarding the pictures. “That’s iconic,” says one follower, “everything done right,” says another.
The hype regarding the engagement ring
The Toi et Moi ring caused a real hype following Ratajkowski showed it on Instagram for the first time in 2018. Many labels created similar pieces, even some celebrities opted for a ring in the same style. Kylie Jenner shares a Toi et Moi ring with daughter Stormy, Megan Fox got two teardrop-shaped stones from Machine Gun Kelly.
