This clip resurfaced in recent weeks showing host Jonathan Ross claiming that Americans eating at Chili’s are all huge.

The actress then recounted an anecdote that occurred during filming beginning with “the woman who served me was enormous and had [probablement] free meals at Chili’s.

When she became aware of this video, Emily Blunt publicly apologized Friday in an interview with People magazine.

“I am appalled that I said something so insensitive, hurtful and off-topic to what I was saying,” she said.

“I’ve always considered myself to be someone who would never want to offend anyone, so whatever came over me, to say something like that is completely unrecognizable to me and to everything I believe in , she continues. But it happened, and I’m sorry for the hurt it caused. I’m old enough to know that we have to do better.”

The actress is known in particular for her roles in the successful films The Devil Wears Prada, Quietly, Sicario and more recently, Oppenheimer.
