The two cross-country skiers who won the Vasaloppet 2023 have become together.
Emil Persson, 29, and Emilie Fleten, 32, are a couple.
– We drop the bomb here, says Fleten in the podcast Glidarna.
It was in Glidarna’s hundredth episode that the Swedish-Norwegian star duo went public with their relationship.
The presenters Roberto Vacchi and Robin Bryntesson wondered why Persson and Fleten had trained together when Vacchi realized:
– They’re so fucking together!

Have moved in together
Persson and Fleten have kept their relationship somewhat semi-secret.
– You didn’t keep track of it? So it has gone under the ice, says Persson in the podcast.
– We drop the bomb here, Fleten fills in.
Persson and Fleten have moved in together in Östersund.
– Suddenly you realize that you are stuck there, that you live in Östersund. Maybe you stay there, maybe it wasn’t what you had seen in front of you. We have even become partners. We have moved in together, says Fleten.
– It goes fast! states Persson.
Both won the Vasaloppet 2023
Emil Persson won the Vasaloppet 2023.
He broke through with a bang in the 2022/2023 season when he won the overall in the Ski Classics long-distance cup.
Emilie Fleten has won the Vasaloppet on the women’s side two years in a row and won the overall in Ski Classics 2023/2024.
