The exhibition held at Mangkuluhur Artotel Suites, South Jakarta, was opened by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, Tuesday (11/9).
The exhibition, which can be enjoyed until September 15, 2024, is included in the InovArt and IndoFringe program calendar, which is also supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. The program consists of exhibitions and art performances in 50 cities in Indonesia.
“InovArt and IndoFringe strive to build a sustainable and collaborative ecosystem for new talents in the arts throughout Indonesia,” said Sandiaga Uno.
In this exhibition, there are 35 works by Jayant N. Khobragade divided into three themes, namely Whispering Leaves, Joyful Dances, and Gods of Grace. Jayant N. Khobragade’s paintings are inspired by Indian culture, world icons including the atmosphere of Venice, and female figures in various artistic poses.
Jayant N. Khobragade’s exhibition is also accompanied by an online auction whose funds will be dedicated to educational scholarships for Indonesian women. “India, Indonesia and ASEAN are connected in geography and era, including the theme of the Creator’s Goodness,” said Jayant N. Khobragade. (X-8)
