“Embarrassing!” – This match point upsets Novak Djokovic

The trigger was the match point in the Cincinnati round of 16: After Jack Drapers volley, the ball bounced illegally on the American’s half of the court before it entered the opponent’s field Felix Auger-Aliassime flog.

The referee apparently did not see this and gave Draper the point despite heated protests from the Canadian.

“It’s embarrassing,” Djokovic commented on “X,” “that we don’t have video replay for these kinds of situations. What’s even more ridiculous is that we don’t have a rule that allows the chair umpires to change the original decision based on the video replay.”
