Embark on an all-new adventure with Mickey Mouse’s triumphant return to video games – and this time, he’s not alone! Disney, in collaboration with developer Dlala Studios, today revealed that a 2D co-op platform adventure game for up to four players titled Disney Illusion Islandwill launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch™ on July 28, 2023.Pre-orders are now available for USD 39.99 on Nintendo eShop (digital version) and retailers (physical version) starting today.
“Fans will be delighted with the next release of the wacky cartoon experience offered by Disney Illusion Island”, said Luigi Priore, vice-president of Disney, Pixar and 20th Century Games. “We are excited to be working with Dlala Studios, expanding the world of Mickey and friends with a new and original storyline, immersive gameplay and a beautiful hand-drawn art style.”
Alongside Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck and Goofy, you’ll undertake a perilous quest to explore the colorful and mysterious island of Monoth in an escape to retrieve three magical tomes – powerful books that protect the island. Featuring official voice actors from Disney’s quartet and an original orchestral soundtrack, players can immerse themselves in an adventure solo or with up to three friends in local co-op mode to use special team abilities like “Rope Drop”, “Leap Frog” and a hug from the heart capable of saving the island. Discover rich biomes and never-before-seen environments, meet interesting characters and discover many hidden secrets!
But the journey will not be easy and, with so many intrigues, not everything is what it seems on the “Illusion Island”.
