Elvis Amoroso denounces attacks against CNE rectors

The president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Elvis Loving, denounced this Sunday that rectors of the entity, as well as their families, have received attacks by a sector that seeks to “ignore the will of the Venezuelan people.”

In statements to the media, Amoroso acknowledged the rectors and their families, highlighting that the officials “are there with their consciousness completely clear of what role they are fulfilling for the country, for Venezuela.”

“My recognition and my respect to each of their relatives who have endured this entire series of attacks by a sector whose only function is to hinder and ignore the will of the Venezuelan people,” he said.

Attempt to hinder the electoral process

The president of the Electoral Branch also reported on various events that were recorded during the preparations for the polling day in order to hinder its realization, remembering that a sector of the country that participates in the elections is the one that has stated that it will not recognize the results obtained.

He commented that “they did everything possible so that you could not exercise your vote today.”

“They tried to burn the sheds where the machines were located three times. Thanks to the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, the Ministry of the Interior and Justice, the Fire Department and all the security forces, it was prevented (…) This time we defeated them, they could not burn the machines,” he explained.

Furthermore, he explained that another action was to take several boxes and place the CNE logo on them, near the Guarenas – Guatire warehouses, with the intention of ensuring that “the machines were there in a garbage dump, that the fraud was there.”

“They were defeated. What they did not want was for elections to be held here, in complicity with a group of people in Washington, a group of people in Florida, there in the United States, and a few governments in Europe, against the Venezuelan people,” Amoroso asserted. .

Another fact commented by the president of the CNE was that “the planes that came with the equipment for the machines, so that you could vote, they confiscated the plane from us and sent it to an African country, with all the equipment that our machines, to maintain them.”

“They also diverted part of the machines that had been purchased to give you, the people of Venezuela, the opportunity to have more machines in the electoral centers to vote more fluidly,” he said.

Amoroso specified that those planes were prohibited from flying over certain countries, with an order to confiscate “those machines and the plane that passed over there, because they did not want you to express yourself, they did not want the Venezuelan people to have the opportunity to participate today.” with the best electoral system in the world that Venezuela has.”
