Singer-songwriter Elton John, 75, spoke regarding the so-called ‘King of Pop’, Michael Jackson, in his memoir, where he recalled his meetings with the singerwho passed away in 2009 at the age of 50.
The singer explained that he first met Jackson when the late artist he was still a child and he changed a lot posteriorly.
“I knew Michael since he was 13 or 14 years old.s,” Elton wrote in his memoir. “He was the loveliest little boy you might imagine. But sometime in the intervening years, began to move away from the world and realitylike Elvis Presley did.”
For Elton John, this change was promoted by the medications he began to take and on which he became dependent. “God knows what was going through his head and God knows what prescription drugs were pumping him upbut every time I saw him in his later years, I walked away thinking the poor man had totally lost his mind,” Elton writes in his memoir.
The singer insists that it is not a figure of speech when he talks regarding losing his mind. “I don’t mean that in a lighthearted way. He was truly a mentally ill, disturbing person to be around,” he claimed.
On the multiple accusations that weighed on Michael Jackson of pederasty, Elton John has not just spoken, but he does talk regarding Jackson’s relationship with children and adults. “For some reason, he mightn’t seem to cope with the company of adults absolutely”.
