Not only the turnover but also the volume of wholesale trade suffered a fall in the last months of 2023, according to ELSTAT data.
In particular, in the period October – December 2023 the turnover saw a continuous decrease, while the volumes started to fall in December following the significant increase recorded in October and the small but not insignificant increase in November.
According to ELSTATthe Wholesale Trade Turnover Indicators for the period October – December 2023, compared to the corresponding indicators for the period October – December 2022, presented an annual change as follows:
• October, down 2.0%
• November, a decrease of 5.4% and
• December, 10.9% decrease
According to newsit, while the Volume Indices in Wholesale Trade presented an annual change as follows:
• October, 6.9% increase
• November, up 2.0% and
• December, 7.2% decrease
