ELSTAT: These are the products with the biggest increases and decreases in November

The reduction of inflation from 3.4% to 3% in November, ELSTAT announced on Friday.

Nevertheless, the food category separately showed a 9% increase compared to a year ago.

Inflation: Decreased by 3% in Greece in November

Greater increase

The largest increase compared to November 2022 was presented by the category of food products with 9%, followed by clothing and footwear with 6.4%, health services with 5.5% and hotel and cafe prices with 4.7% .

On a monthly basis, the goods that recorded the biggest increases are natural gas with a price increase of 18.3%, olive oil with 9.9% and frozen vegetables with 5%.

Goods and services with the biggest reductions

On an annual basis, according to ifimerida, the largest decreases compared to November 2022 were presented by communications and transport services with 3.2% and 2.7% respectively.

On a monthly basis, compared to October, the biggest decreases were recorded in the prices of hotels by 15% and air tickets by 9.4%. These reductions are justified, as October traditionally has increased tourist traffic compared to November. In addition, we had significant reductions in fresh fruits and vegetables, with 5% and 6.1% respectively.
