ELSTAT: At 9.4% the unemployment rate in November 2023 – 2024-03-15 06:47:15

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 9.4% in November 2023 compared to the upwardly revised 11.9% in November 2022 and the downwardly revised 9.4% in October 2023, ELSTAT announced today .

In particular, this ELSTAT announcement on unemployment rates states that:

  • The employed amounted to 4,161,930 people, marking an increase of 12,025 people compared to November 2022 (0.3%) and a decrease of 87,722 people compared to October 2023 (-2.1%).
  • The unemployed reached 429,806 people, marking a decrease of 130,997 people compared to November 2022 (-23.4%) and by 12,156 people compared to October 2023 (-2.8%).
  • People under the age of 75 not in the labor force, or ‘people outside the labor force’, i.e. people neither working nor looking for work, stood at 3,198,315, an increase of 91,820 people compared to November 2022 (3.0%) and by 97,602 people compared to October 2023 (3.1%).
