“I began to feel strange things. I saw things but I did not reflect. Then I began to realize his things. He took me to Toluca at four in the morning, he liked to drink. (…) It was bad, he was bringing things from Toluca to sell them here. When I lived with him, some people came in, he put them in the bedroom, they came out and he didn’t even introduce them to me. I was completely ignorant. But I loved him very much.”

They got divorced. Later, being ill with alcoholism, he sought her out to invite her to see her new business, a cantina in Toluca. Aguirre agreed to accompany him, however, due to the influence of alcohol, Armando drove at speed, which scared his ex-wife. She asked him to stop to get out of the car.
