The exact weight of Swift’s endorsement in the presidential race is hard to immediately gauge, but it was an emphatic statement from an influential superstar with an army of followers.
And it seems that at least one big supporter of Trump, the ever-thirsty Elon Musk, thought to answer her by leaving spikes regarding the pop star’s post through which she revealed that she supports and was going to vote for Kamala Harris for president of the USA on November 5. “Nice Taylor,” Musk posted on X, the website he owns and continues to smolder in the ruins of Twitter, you won… I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life.”
His statement was by no means accidental. She was referring to the “childless cat lady,” as Taylor Swift captioned her post.
The term appeared to be a jab from the American singer for Trump’s running mate, Senator JD Vance of Ohio.
“We’re basically run in this country by the Democrats, by our corporate oligarchs, by a bunch of childless ladies with cats who are unhappy with their own lives and the choices they’ve made, and so they want to make the rest of the country unhappy.” Vance stated at the time.

Musk, who is the father of 12 known children, is currently in a custody battle with his ex-girlfriend Grimes over three of them and had another three with one of his employees at brain implant company Neuralink, he has promoted here and long an unfounded panic that Western countries are headed for “population collapse”. In 2022, he tweeted “Doing my part haha” in reference to human reproduction. It also reinforced the claims of the “great replacement” theory, a conspiracy theory that falsely claims that liberals and Jews are facilitating the mass illegal immigration of people of color in order to turn white Westerners into a culturally oppressed minority.
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO retweeted and engaged in anti-Harris and anti-media posts on his platform during Tuesday afternoon’s debate and in the hours that followed, sharing little praise for Trump. He seemed intrigued, however, by the idea that the election could lead to loyalty to either him or Swift. Responding to a tweet from an account that said, “Oh my god, this has really become an Elon vs Taylor Swift election now,” he posted his favorite emoji, the laughing face. It was an hour later that Musk, whose recreational drug use and occasionally erratic behavior has worried his companies’ leadership, tweeted his line about impregnating Swift and protecting her cats.
An hour later, it had about 50,000 likes, along with nearly 10,000 responses, ranging between disgust and approval. Neither Swift nor her boyfriend, NFL star and three-time Super Bowl winner Travis Kelce, responded to the line.

Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight. If you haven’t already, now is a good time to do your research on the issues being debated and the positions of the two candidates running on the issues that matter most to you. As a voter, I make sure to watch and read as much as I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country.
I was recently informed that an AI image of me purporting to falsely endorse the candidacy of Donald Trump was posted on his website. It really awakened my fears around Artificial Intelligence and the dangers of misinformation. After that I came to the conclusion that I need to be very clear about my thoughts on this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is the truth.
I will be voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walsh in the 2024 presidential election. I am voting for @kamalaharris because she is fighting for the rights and causes that I believe need a warrior to champion. I think she is a solid, charismatic leader and I think we can achieve a lot more in this country if we are led by prudence rather than chaos. I was so impressed by the choice of her running mate @timwalz who has been championing LGBTQ+ rights, IVF and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.
I did my research and made my choice. Your research is yours and the choice is yours. I also want to say, especially to first-time voters: Remember that in order to vote, you must be registered! I also find it much easier to vote early.
