“The second court opens on Monday, X Corp will file a thermonuclear lawsuit against Media Matters and everyone who colluded in this fraudulent attack on our company,” Musk wrote in a post on X, without name other parts.

Media Matters for America said earlier this week that it found corporate ads from IBM, Apple, Oracle and Comcast’s Xfinity were placed alongside anti-Semitic content.

IBM said on Thursday that it immediately suspended all ads on the X platform, owned by Musk, after the watchdog found that its ads were placed next to content promoting Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party, reports News.ro.

Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery and Comcast, Lions Gate Entertainment and Paramount Global said Friday they were stopping their ads on X. Axios wrote that Apple will do the same.

Elon Musk accused of “abject promotion” of anti-Semitism

Musk on Wednesday endorsed an anti-Semitic post on X that falsely claimed that members of the Jewish community encourage hatred against white people.

“This week Media Matters for America posted text that completely misrepresented the actual experience on X in another attempt to undermine free speech and mislead advertisers,” read a statement posted by Elon Musk.

He also said that “Media Matters created an alternate account and organized the posts and ads that appear on the account’s timeline to misinform advertisers about the placement of their posts.”

Media Matters did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the announcement.

Many advertisers have left the platform since Elon Musk bought it in October 2022 and reduced content moderation, leading to a spike in hate speech on X, according to civil rights groups.

The White House on Friday condemned Elon Musk’s endorsement of what it called a “heinous” anti-Semitic conspiracy theory on X. It accused him of “abject promotion of anti-Semitic and racist hatred” that “is contrary to our fundamental values as Americans. It is unacceptable to repeat the heinous lie … one month after the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust,” White House spokesman Andrew Bates said, referring to the October 7 attack by the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas. on Israel.
