Elon Musk Sues OpenAI – Revives Defunct Application – New York Times

Elon Musk has now revived the lawsuit against the tech giant OpenAI, which he withdrew seven weeks ago. The events apply when he was part of the company six years ago. The New York Times writes.

The new lawsuit was filed on Monday, and claims that OpenAI and two of the founders, Sam Altman and Greg Brockman, violated the contract signed between the parties at the founding of the company by putting commercial purposes before the good of humanity.

The lawsuit alleges that Altman and Brockman deviated from the company’s purpose through its multi-billion dollar partnership with Microsoft. Musk claims to have been betrayed by both and that the fraud is of Shakespearean proportions.
