Tesla founder Elon Musk has added donations to Donald Trump’s campaign. Musk increased his donations by $43.6 million during October to Donald Trump’s super PAC.
This was revealed in the latest US Federal Election Commission (FEC) report released Friday (25/10) WIB. In total, social media boss X recorded his donations to the Trump camp at US$118.6 million (equivalent to Rp. 1.8 trillion).
The donation went to the America PAC committee which was also formed by Musk himself. Musk previously donated US$75 million to America PAC during the third quarter of this year.
This additional donation in October 2024 allows the group to continue spending on campaigns and field operations in key battleground states.
Musk’s latest cash outburst also helps Trump’s campaign match Kamala Harris’ fundraising.
America PAC reported total receipts of US$46.6 million during the pre-general reporting period.
The funds include $43.6 million from Musk and about $3 million from DeVos family members including former Trump administration Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos and the wife of former Amway CEO Dick DeVos. (D-2)
