The American billionaire, Elon Musk, considered, on Tuesday, that the instant communication application “WhatsApp”, which is used by more than 2 billion people around the world, cannot be trusted.
Elon Musk wrote on his official Twitter account: “WhatsApp cannot be trusted.”
Musk was commenting on a tweet that shared with his followers a picture that he says shows that “WhatsApp” is using a microphone in the background, while he was asleep and since he woke up at six in the morning.
It was part of a longer timeline, he said. “What’s going on?” he asked.
The screenshot shows the uses of the microphone on the phone, and it appears that “WhatsApp” is the one that used the microphone.
This tweeter, as he introduces himself, was Fouad Dabiri, whose verified account description appears as an engineer on Twitter and lives in San Francisco, California, where the headquarters of the micro-blogging site is.
