Elon Musk is stepping down from his position as CEO of Twitter, who has been ‘talkative and troubled’.
Musk said on his Twitter account at 4:00 am on the 12th (Korean time), “I am delighted to have a new X/Twitter CEO,” and “She will start work in regarding six weeks.”
“My role will transition to executive chairman and chief technology officer (CTO) overseeing product, software and system operations,” he said.
He didn’t specify who the new Twitter CEO was, but referred to him as “her” to imply that he was a woman.
After Musk took over in October of last year, Twitter went through storms such as massive layoffs, and controversy over the ‘blue check’ service, which certifies that Twitter is an official account for a fee, was repeated.
Musk conducted a survey in December of last year asking ‘whether he should resign as Twitter CEO’, and at the time, 57.5% of respondents voted ‘should step down’.
