Twitter CEO Elon Musk announced Thursday that he has appointed a new CEO for his social network, and that she will start work in about six weeks.
Musk did not reveal the name of the candidate for this position, but the newspaper Wall Street Journal It quoted informed sources as saying that Linda Yacrino, director at NBC Universal, was chosen by Musk for this position.
“My role will move to Executive Chairman and Chief Technology Officer, overseeing Products, Software and Computers,” Musk said in a tweet.
Yacrino has worked for more than a decade as director of global and partnerships, and has a major role in finding “the best ways to measure effectiveness,” according to the newspaper, not to mention her role in launching the “Peacock” broadcast service.

Iacarino oversees about $13 billion in annual revenue, has close relationships with major marketing and agencies around the world, and is known for her negotiating skills, which industry workers describe as a “velvet hammer”.
