Elon Musk activates Internet service for Ukraine

Through the Starlink system, which belongs to SpaceX, Musk assured that there will be “even more terminals on the way.”

Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov called on billionaire Elon Musk to give him the internet to Ukraine in the midst of the Russian invasion.

“While you are trying to colonize Mars, Russia is trying to occupy Ukraine! While your rockets are successfully landing from space, Russian rockets are attacking the Ukrainian civilian population! We ask you to provide Ukraine with Starlink stations and turn to sane Russians to stand up,” Fedorov tweeted, tagging the businessman.

Musk’s response came a few hours later: “Starlink service is now active in Ukraine. More terminals on the way“, he stated, while his action was widely commented on the social network.

The Starlink system, belonging to the aerospace company SpaceX, consists of a series of satellites that seek to deliver Internet of broadband, low latency and worldwide coverage at low cost.
