Minuto30.com .- The Command of the Fifth Brigade of the National Army has reported on the possible disappearance of Soldier SL18 Carlos Manuel Rodríguez Páez, belonging to the Field Artillery Battalion No. 5.

According to the report, the soldier was on leave in the municipality of Tibú, Norte de Santander, when he was allegedly intercepted by individuals from the ELN Organized Armed Group, who would have taken him to an unknown destination.

The soldier’s family alerted about the situation on September 29, 2024, which led the Command to file a formal complaint with the Attorney General’s Office. In addition, coordination has begun with the Military Gaula of Norte de Santander and the Vulcano Task Force to carry out search operations and locate the missing soldier.
