‘ALma’ is a big tree. Mahataru has grown through the rhythms and strokes of the seasons with extraordinary skill. The Vada-tree, which rejoiced in many, received the warm and warm of sorrow with its forefingers, and sheltered in the depths of its roots.

Farzana’s novel is the story of a young woman named Elma. Narrative series of Elma’s views and thoughts. Even when she was an orphan, Grani, who poured into her the shelter of orphanhood, is the source of love in this novel. Farzana has followed a writing style for the character that reminds the readers that the world is still beautiful only because of people like Granny. Friend Shera… Shera keeps a lot of stability and friendship inside her even when she is flying around.

How casually, how easily Elma falls into love. Farzana introduces the lover Gilbert into the novel very cleverly. The charm of Farzana’s narrator’s merging with Elma in every way makes the novel an engaging and enjoyable book to read. Therefore, the reader travels through Elma’s trajectories without any fatigue.

Farzana demonstrates the ability to present her views and ways of thinking in a way that is not offensive in the breadth and freedom that the novel canvas provides. Farzana has made it possible to communicate regional characteristics through micro-observations in Elma, where spatial constellation becomes important.

A series of horrific historical events evoked in Elma by a visit to the Auschwitz concentration camp in German-occupied Poland culminates in a flood of blood where Elma becomes a full woman. Throughout the novel, nightmares regarding the brutality of the German army continue to haunt Elma. Elma is a character who bravely directs the pursuit of Nov from all sides.

The love in the narrator is tender and the romantic beauty is overflowing. Their romance is made even more intense by the fact that Gilbert, the lover, is able to get to know Elma’s girl intimately and become a protective tent for her insecure mind.

“The proud are doomed. My Elma must be one of those men whose hearts are large enough to look down on those below him. The reader can undoubtedly say that it is this phrase that Granny said that inspired Elma in the novel. It was Granny Taivera who encouraged Elma to cross time and space without being rooted in the blessings showered on her.

Gladiator prepares a new refuge for Elma, who travels to India with Gilbert. Even as Gladiator lives in the prison of lost dreams, he keeps a faint glimmer of hope. The flower seller who showers love on Elma as the reincarnation of Granny.

The love that turns into tragedy in the sharpness of a single sentence, ‘There was that one second when my sight was taken from him, and since then I have not seen Gilbert’, takes Elma to another season. Elma’s survival is another instance where the reader experiences the miracle.

The entrance of the second man, Ernest, at the end of Gitali’s maid narrative, sees the character of Elma become more grounded, someone who can effortlessly survive the passage of time. Farzana makes the novel brilliant by capturing the time and space that is essential for writing.

Although the story ends where Nov’s wetness and the energy provided by the decaying kin act as motivations for a journey in search of sight, there are some vivid images that Elma leaves in the reader’s mind. On the other hand, the extraordinary ability of the female mind to acquire the strength needed for continued life with some nerves the size of a hair even when the roots that sustain it are cut off, that is the reading experience available from this book.
