Buckingham Palace announced Saturday that the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II will take place on September 19 at 11:00 (10:00 GMT), at Westminster Abbey in London. On Sunday, the Queen’s coffin will be transported from Balmoral to Edinburgh, and the procession will pass, especially Aberdeen and Dundee, and arrive in the Scottish capital at 15:00 GMT.

The body will be transported to London on Tuesday, the procession will cross the streets of London on Wednesday, and the body will lie for four days in Westminster Hall, the oldest section of Parliament. The department will remain open to the general public 23 hours a day.
The clerk of the Ascension Council declared, “Prince Charles Philip Arthur George is now, on the death of Her Majesty…our King Charles III…God save the King”, knowing that Charles automatically became king on the death of his mother.
The proceedings were broadcast for the first time on television and attended by hundreds of council members, including Prime Minister Liz Terrace and all her predecessors, Charles’ wife Camilla and his eldest son and heir to the throne, William.
The king announced that the royal mourning period, which includes the royal family and its workers, will continue for seven days following the funeral. The royal circuits will remain closed until the funeral, while the flags are lowered.
The national mourning announced by the government will continue until the day of the funeral. The Queen will be buried in a private ceremony in the chapel of Windsor Castle.
For her part, the prime minister and lawmakers, including opposition leader Keir Starmer, declared their loyalty to the king in a rare session of the House of Commons on Saturday.
